We are a non profit rescue group. We rescue animals from the shelters before euthanasia. We have a huge love for the animals, and can't bare to see them senselessly destroyed. Sometimes they do find good new homes from the public coming to adopt, other times they are not so lucky. When I learnt this, I had to make a difference.
When we rescue a dog, we take it very seriously. The dog/puppy will be put into a foster home, given all veterinary, and given a new chance in life. We socialize and rehabilitate our dogs before we find forever loving homes. All dogs are spayed/neutered, and have their up to date shots. They are microchipped with ID collars.
There is nothing more rewarding in life, than to save a life. As I drive from the shelter with that dog in my truck to freedom, there is no bigger joy. This life would have been lost as the dogs we save had no other chance, and were about to be euthanized. This is why I do what I do.
Chance was a tiny puppy found in a scrap yard for car parts when I found her. We hadn't intended on finding a puppy, but when I saw her, I knew she had to come with us. Chance was an exceptional dog very much loved, and lived to be 14yrs old. She left us 1.5 yrs ago and is greatly missed. She had quite a story as a puppy with lot's of adventures, so I started my foundation 14yrs ago as through Chance a lot of other dogs came my way.
We are always looking for Foster Homes as well, so please contact us: 310 774 0055 land line or e-mail us at Dogsonearth@yahoo.com
Please pass the word on, that all dogs and cats need to be spayed and neutered.

We are Chance Foundation an Independent Non Profit rescue group, serving Southern California. Mainly we rescue dogs from the Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura Shelters. We try to help all the shelters if we can. These are dogs that otherwise would have been euthanized. We are not breed specific, we love all breeds large and small.
Additional adoption info
First of all you will contact us about one of our dogs. I always like phone calls as well so we can discuss whether or not this dog would be suitable for you and your family. We will send an application before or after you meet with the dog. It will merely give us an idea of you and your family by asking a few questions. You will complete sign and return to us. We will interview you and your family, and do a home check, and ask for references. We want to make sure that our dog/puppy is a good fit for you and your family, and that you are the right home for our dog/puppy. This is a life long commitment, and we want to know that you are very serious about your new adoption. We want our dog to be in a safe environment, that it will be loved, given veterinary when needed, be taken on walks each day, be socialized, and in general be greatly taken care of. Once we feel assured that you are the right home, and that you are most definitely in love with our dog/pup, then we will do an adoption contract. If at any time during the dogs life you cannot care of the dog, it is in our contract that we will take the dog back whatever the age. You will not be allowed to give to a friend, or take to the shelter. We also ask for an adoption fee, we call this a donation. It can range from $200-$300. Rescuing dogs/puppies can be very expensive, there are shelter fees, veterinary fees, some dogs can be very sick coming out of the shelters. One dog can cost thousands before he/she ever makes it into their forever home. We also want to be able to rescue more dogs, this will help with that.
