Promise Animal League, Inc was formed for the prevention of cruelty to animals and educational purposes by a group of individuals who have been helping animals in the local community for over 25 years. Located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia we take in unwanted, abused and abandoned cats, kittens and sometime dogs and puppies; we place them into foster homes until they are adopted into a permanent home. Our group of dedicated volunteers provides a pet food bank for other shelter/rescue groups in the 4 state area. We work with local veterinarian practices to hold cat spay/neuter clinics for the low income public. We also assist the public with trap, neuter and release of feral cats.

Promise Animal League, Inc requires an adoption application. A home visit may be required depending on the situation of the animal to be adopted. Please understand that we do not do same day adoptions and it may take up to 2 weeks to process your application.
