Welcome to our website. We invite you to join us in an effort to make a difference in the welfare of our animal friends. The Humane Society of Puerto Rico, Inc. has served the Puerto Rican community for over forty years. We operate a shelter facility offering adoptions, compassionate care, and safe shelter for lost and unwanted animals. We also operate a Preventive Animal Healthcare Clinic, where we provide spay/neuter services, low cost vaccination and basic animal healthcare.
The Humane Society of Puerto Rico operates the only major animal shelter in the San Juan Metropolitan area.

As a non-profit organization we rely heavily on community support through membership, donations, pet adoptions, volunteering and event participation. Please consider supporting the Humane Society of Puerto Rico. Your dollars go directly to programs such as medical care for animals in need, adoption program, and Humane Education. Your help is greatly appreciated! Welcome!
