Animals People & Environment Action (A. P. e. ACTION)

Dog rescue in West Hollywood, CA

We wish to help educate the public of the pet overpopulation crisis we are in. Our shelters are FULL. They are killing dogs/cats for lack of space.

There is NO SUCH THING AS A NO KILL SHELTER. All shelters kill for health/temperament/space.

Rescue FAQs

Mission Statement:

Animals, People & Environment Action (APe Action). Our group is a non profit organization committed to promoting change through education. We believe in teaching moral and ethical values in regard to animals, people and the environment. Our goal is to raise public awareness and instill responsibility for actions that can help build a more compassionate world.

We are helping network dogs in need in the LA area and Central CA

One of APe Action's goals is to implement a Spay and Neuter Program. This will reduce the number of innocent animals killed each year as well as prevent them from entering the shelter system. The current practice of impounding and euthanizing animals is neither ethical nor humane. The estimated $173 it costs tax payers to catch, house and then kill each animal brought into the shelter system could be better spent on Spay and Neuter that can be done for less than $100 an animal. If you would like to donate to our Spay and Neuter program, please contact us at info@apeaction.org

We are always in need of Volunteers to help with fostering, adoptions, grooming, vet visits and home checks. For adoptions, volunteers are needed to transport and sit with the dog at the adoption, and must commit to two weekends a month
