Infinite Hope is the social services partner of Hope Vet, with a focus on the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of animals into suitable homes. Most of our cats are rescued from the streets of Brooklyn.
We work with a small number of rescuers to ensure that all the cats are trapped humanely and treated with care during their transition from outside to inside. Any cats that are unable to become house cats are tested, spayed or neutered and released back to their feral colonies. We never euthanize cats for behavioral reasons, or send them to other shelters to be euthanized.
In order to ensure that our cats are placed with people that will care for them, we require that interested individuals complete an adoption application. Infinite Hope volunteers are responsible for reviewing applications, interviewing prospective adopters and checking their references. Based on this knowledge, the volunteers are able to match the adopters with appropriate cats, and help people new to cat guardianship with questions or concerns.

Additional adoption info
Since its inception in 2003 Infinite Hope has placed over 400 cats and kittens. Our adoption fee of $150 covers less than half of the average cost of testing, treatment, and boarding of each cat placed by us. To make up the difference we stage fund raisers, write grant applications, and solicit donations from our families, friends, and the public. We would be grateful if you would make a donation to support our efforts!
