Rescue FAQs

Founded in 2007, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue enhances the lives of companion animals and the people who love them. We work across county lines with the goal of saving the greatest number of lives possible through strategic, creative, and impactful programming. Through adoption and pet retention programs, a low-cost mobile spay and neuter clinic, lifesaving shelter transfer partnerships, extensive volunteer and foster networks, and a trap-neuter-return program for community cats, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue impacts the lives of thousands of animals each year in the Western North Carolina region.

Additional adoption info

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue works to remove barriers in the adoption process and work collaboratively with our adopters. We ask that all adopters fill out our online adoption survey so we can learn more about you and help to make the perfect match. You can fill out the survey on our website: www.bwar.org/adopt.

Most of our animals are ready to go home with you the same day you meet them.

All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.

Adoption fees are refundable within two weeks from the date of adoption if the animal is returned.

Adopters are required to be at least 18 years of age.

Adoptions end at the Adoption Center’s scheduled closing time – 6pm Tuesday to Saturday.
