The Galveston County Animal Resource Center (ARC) serves the unincorporated Galveston County and nine (9) cities under an interlocal agreement that outlines the scope of services for our field animal control and our sheltering services. Due to the vast area of coverage, the ARC fills up quickly. Animals that are not reclaimed by their owners are available for adoption following the state recommended 72 hour stray hold period. We have so many wonderful pets that need new homes. Whether you're looking for that perfect lap-dog (or cat), or a gentle giant, come see all of our outstanding animals today. When you adopt from us, you TRULY save a life! If we don't have what you're looking for, please check back.
