I would like to give you a little information about YSDR. Since Yorkie and Small Dog Rescue is not a shelter faculty, we as foster parents take the rescued dogs into our own homes until a suitable forever family can be matched to the right dog. Since they are rescues we usually do not have much information on their background or age. Most come to us from kill shelters before they are euthanized where they have been owner surrender, neglected, abused or stray. That is why we try so hard to place them in a home where it will be a good fit for both the dog and the new owner, so that it truly will be a forever home. When we adopt the dog out, it will have been spayed/neutered, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, had a dental and any other necessary medical treatment and micro chipped.

We are a group of volunteers that are dedicated to the Yorkshire Terrier breed but do take in other small breeds occasionally. We are a 501 (c) (3) Non Profit Corporation. All dogs are fostered in individual homes.
Our volunteers are located mostly in areas of Houston, Conroe, and Spring Texas. We can always use more fosters to help us save these little ones.
We do not adopt out of state
Additional adoption info
Our adoption fees range from $100 to $400 depending on the age and other factors about each individual dog
.
Because of the size of most of our dogs, we usually do not adopt to homes with children under 5 years old.
Any dog adopted must be returned to YSDR if the adopter cannot keep the dog any longer.
