Little Bow Wow Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing small dogs of all types and breeds. We rescue dogs from shelters and take in other dogs in need. Many of the dogs that we take in from the shelters have various medical, or behavioral problems that deem them "unadoptable" by the general public. We rehabilitate these dogs, provide them with top-notch veterinary care and and foster them in private homes where they get plenty of TLC until they are adopted.

Additional adoption info
Our adoption process begins with a phone interview followed by a possible home check. If we feel that there is a potential match an appointment is scheduled to meet the dog. Our adoption fees range from $200 to $400 depending on the individual dog. Once a dog is adopted the new owners have a 2 week trial period to determine if the dog is indeed a match for their family. If it is decided that the dog is not a match, the dog must be returned to us and we retain $50 of the adoption fee. The remainder of the fee is reimbursed. Prior to adoption all of our dogs are spayed or neutered, updated on vaccinations, micro-chipped, de-wormed, groomed, and treated for fleas and ticks.
We do not typically adopt dogs to individuals under 25yrs of age or to families with children under the age of 12, nor do we adopt dogs to families who are renting their residence. Although each situation is different, it is an unfortunate fact that thousands of dogs are turned in to rescues and shelters every year due to circumstances related to these situations and our goal is to find our rescue dogs permanent homes where they will be valued as family members for the rest of their lives.
