Additional adoption info

The adoption process of our group includes a contractual agreement between Rescue for Life and the adoptee(s).

An adoption fee ensures the genuine interest of the adoptee and also covers a small portion of the funds invested into each animal.

An Adoption Application Form must be filled out and a phone interview must be completed. A meet and greet will be set up to so that the potential adoptive family can meet the pet(s) they are interested in. We have a minimum 24 hour grace period where families are requested to talk as a family and make sure that the pet they are interested in is the one they are will to make the commitment to for it's whole life. We also complete a home inspection prior to the adoption and we also complete a small education session that covers many areas of being a responsible pet guardian.

We do not do trials in homes. This is disruptive to both the animal, the fostering system, and also the potential adoptive family.
