Rescue FAQs

A Forever-Home Rescue Foundation is a non-profit animal rescue group that operates in the Northern Virginia / Washington Metropolitan area. We strive to make quality dogs available for adoption and do our best to match prospective adopters with the right animal!
Primarily Washington, DC metropolitan area, but we accept adopters from anywhere in the US - as long as they are willing to come in person to complete the adoption process and pick up their dog. We do NOT ship dogs!

  • 5. Sign Adoption Contract
  • 6. Pay Fee
  • 7. Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out, an interview with one of our volunteers (this can be done at the adoption event), a home visit is required prior to the animal going to their new home.
