The Whatcom Humane Society has been caring for animals throughout Whatcom County since 1902. As the oldest non-profit animal welfare organization in Whatcom County, WHS is commited to caring for any animal in need.
As an open-admission shelter, the dedicated staff and volunteers at WHS cared for over 5,000 domestic and native wild animals last year.
The Whatcom Humane Society provides animal control services to Whatcom County.
Programs and Services include: low-cost spay/neuter clinic, community outreach and humane education programs, safe-pet program for victims of domestic violence, interactive adoption program and an animal wellness plan providing medical care for shelter animals.
