We are a greyhound rescue and advocacy group who endeavors to save greyhounds and educate the public about racing and its effects on the greyhounds bred for the purpose of racing.
One of our biggest accomplishments is our website which is rated #1 on Google for its content on greyhound behavior and health.
We have been finding homes for greyhounds since 1992 and are a registered non-profit organization. We do educational outreach in our community and work very closely with our animal shelters, humane associations and animal welfare organizations. We are the only greyhound adoption program in the state of New Mexico who openly objects to the sport of dog racing and the injured and dead dogs left in its wake.
We also publish a quarterly newsletter which is accessible on our website (www.gcnm.org) under the heading GCNM News.

Additional adoption info
Prospective adopters are required to complete application and read all articles regarding greyhound behavior which can be printed from our website (www.gcnm.org) on the Adopting a Greyhound section of the site. We then schedule a site check and interview of family or individual applying to adopt. Our adoption fee is $150.00 which includes sterilization, dental, vaccines, worming and any necessary veterinary care prior to placement in the event the dog has a racing injury or health ailment that exists before the adoption.
Requirements for qualifying to adopt are listed on our website (www.gcnm.org) on the Adopting a Greyhound page.
