Mapaw Siberian Husky Rescue is an organization dedicated to the caring and placement of Siberian Husky dogs into loving, permanent homes through adoption and referral services.
Our 501(c)3 Organization consists of experienced and concerned Siberian Husky owners and trainers who "foster" dogs given up by their owners or abandoned in animal shelters. Dogs placed into our care come into our homes where we can evaluate the personality and temperament of each dog and provide emotional and medical needs.
Unfortunately, there is a need for rescue groups for each and every breed of dog as well as mixed breeds. A great deal of time and effort is spent in relocating Siberian Huskies who would otherwise be abandoned by their owner or euthanized in animal shelters.
Many wonderful, caring Siberian Huskies are in need of new homes because their owners were not familiar with the breed and not informed as to their characteristics and traits. Owners looking for a guard dog find the Siberian Husky to be far too friendly and sociable.
Our knowledge of Siberian Huskies and individual attention to each rescue dog enables us to place the dog into a home where the family's lifestyle and dog's personality are compatible resulting in a rewarding and lasting relationship. Due to the Siberian Husky's high prey drive
we do not recommend this breed in a home with cats or other
small pets.
Rescue dogs have received all required vaccinations, heartworm preventative and have been spayed or neutered. A home visit will be arranged to aid in a smooth transition and we continue to be available at any time to assist with any questions or concerns about the dog.
An adoption application is completed indicating the sex, age, color, and type of dog you prefer. The application also helps us understand any specific needs your lifestyle or environment may require, such as children, other pets, etc. Personal and vet references are also requested.
ADOPTIVE HOMES MUST BE WITHIN A 100 MILE RADIUS OF THE BOYERTOWN, PA REGION.
Once an application has been reviewed we can guide you to dogs within our rescue system that we feel would be well suited to your needs. If a specific dog is of interest we will arrange a meeting between you and the dog(s) and introduce them to family members. Upon taking ownership of a rescue dog an Adoption Agreement is required, which includes neutering, shots, heartworm bloodwork and parasite preventative.
You can shop using iGive.com service when you shop for goods online. All proceeds go to helping care for the unwanted animals in our care. You could also become a foster home for one of our rescued pack by filling out the foster home application form. If you have other ways or ideas that might help us in our mission please e-mail us at information@sibes.com.
