Established in 1991, the Wiregrass Humane Society is an animal rescue facility located in Dothan, Alabama. Our facility houses approximately 130 animals that are available for adoption. The majority of animals at our shelter are those that have been rescued from the high kill facilities in the Wiregrass area and brought into the safety of our shelter, while they await a loving home.

Additional adoption info

Did you see an animal you are interested in? To see this animal or any of the others at our facility, visit us during our regular business hours: 12-4:30pm, 7 days a week. Our friendly staff will assist you and answer any questions you may have. Our standard adoption fee is $95 - $125 for cats and $150 + for dogs. Our adoption fee includes microchip, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a free vet visit and 30 days of pet insurance.
