Story
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 at Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, NJ from 11am - 3pm! Meet Pim! Pim is a 1 year old, 10-lb Terrier mix who might just be the sweetest, most gentle girl in the world. Her superpowers include being impossibly cute, sleeping soundly through the night in her crate, and making progress every single day in her foster home. Pim is growing more curious and confident, exploring and sniffing around the yard with excitement. She’s doing great with house-training and has recently started using the bathroom outside in the backyard. While she’s not quite ready for outdoor walks on a leash, she’s food-motivated and eager to learn—she just needs a little more time, patience, and a calm environment to help her get there. Some of Pim’s favorite things include chicken, curling up in a cozy bed, gentle head rubs, and being brushed. She thrives in a quiet home and would do best with a family who can offer her the love and space she needs to continue blossoming. If you're looking for a low-key, quiet, loving companion with a heart of gold, Pim might be your perfect match. Pim is currently being fostered in Marlboro, NJ. Her adoption fee is $550. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Meet Sonata If you are interested in our kittens and would like to arrange the meet and greet at fosters homes, please complete the adoption application using the following link (copy & paste it into your browser) https://form.jotform.com/82828565257166 or text us for more info at (908) 986-2505 Our cats and kittens are allowed to be adopted anywhere in NYC/NJ/Long Island. Please note, all our kittens under 6 months old are available in pairs only or to the home with another cat/cat friendly dog. Bonded pairs will not be split up. Sonata didn’t have the easiest start to life—she was cruelly abandoned in a closed carrier near the beach in Seagate, Brooklyn. Her cries for help were so loud and desperate that one of our volunteers heard her from a block away and rushed to save her. At first, Sonata was so traumatized she wouldn’t even leave the safety of a blanket. Her foster family patiently hand-fed her, showing her that she was safe and loved. Slowly but surely, she’s begun to trust again. Sonata is a sweet little munchkin who loves to play with the humans and her feline friends. She is now UTD on shots, FIV/FeLV negative, spayed, microchipped and ready to meet her family!

Story
Meet Mercy! If you are interested in our kittens and would like to arrange the meet and greet at fosters homes, please complete the adoption application using the following link (copy & paste it into your browser) https://form.jotform.com/82828565257166 or text us for more info at (908) 986-2505 Our cats and kittens are allowed to be adopted anywhere in NYC/NJ/Long Island. Please note, all our kittens under 6 months old are available in pairs only or to the home with another cat/cat friendly dog. Bonded pairs will not be split up. Mercy is gentle 1.5-2 year old girl and absolutely loves spending time with humans and other cats. After Mercy and her two sisters Swan and Gracey were left behind by their owners, the Good Samaritan let them stay on his yard. He set the winter shelters for them and made sure they would at least always have some food and water. But as the weather was getting colder he started to look for a way to bring them inside. When one of our volunteers stopped by their yard to assess the situation she imagined agreed to foster all 3 girls. The homeowner took a great care about them, but the friendly house cats should never live outside. We brought the cats to the veterinary clinic where they were spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and all three of them were tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her foster mom says that she enjoys being held and will be purring up a storm the second you touch her. She also enjoys play time and company of other cats. Mercy is very adventurous silly girl and would be a perfect addition to any family including first time pet owners. Mercy and Swan are being fostered together, but we can see they will do great even if not adopted together as each of the girls adores humans.
