Arcadia Animal Rescue - NY, Greater Albany Area (Transport Destination and/or Foster Home)

Animal rescue in Schenectady, NY

Arcadia Animal Rescue is a foster-based rescue comprised of volunteers who are dedicated to saving the lives of animals that are at-risk either in shelters or in our communities, and placing them into safe and loving foster or adoptive homes.

As a 501c3 organization that receives no federal funding, we rely on the generosity of donors in order to provide life-saving veterinary care, spay and neuter, behavioral assessments and modification, emergency boarding, and transport to foster/adoptive homes.

Our philosophy is that rescue is a partnership. Together, our fosters, adopters, donors, supporters, and volunteers make this life-saving mission possible!

Rescue FAQs

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have an actual brick-and-mortar facility so we utilize foster homes and boarding facilities along the east coast, as well as transport pets directly from high-kill shelters right to their forever families.
