The Kaufman County Animal Pet Adoption Center's groundbreaking ceremony event was held on March 23, 2021, and on April 5, 2022, the ribbon was cut for the Grand Opening. We are excited to share the site of the brand new 12,560-square-foot Kaufman County Pet Animal Adoption Center. Kaufman County began planning for a regional shelter and adoption center in 2018 due to the rapid growth of the County and the need for a facility large enough to serve the demands efficiently and safely. Our goal for a new facility included welcoming more visitors and volunteers, increasing adoption rates and educating pet owners about caring for their animals.
