Mission
To find homes for unwanted adoptable cats and dogs
To cultivate a "no-kill" community and to end euthanasia of homeless pets as a means of population control
To educate our community on the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible ownership
Mandatory Spaying/Neutering -
All of our pets are surgically altered before they go home. We have an early-age sterilization program for our puppies and kittens as well! No animal adopted from Pet Haven Rescue can ever breed and contribute to the pet overpopulation problem.

.Pet Haven Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization founded in Murrieta, California 2004. Pet Haven Rescue is an all-volunteer organization. We do not have an "office", nor do we have paid staff.
All volunteers have full-time jobs and spend their evenings and weekends rescuing dogs and cats from the animal shelters and caring for them in our homes. Our rescued pets are kept in our homes as members of our families. Adoption fees and donations are the sole support of our all-volunteer, non-profit organization.
100% of your donations go to help the dogs and cats with medical treatment and supplies. Please make a tax-deductible gift to Pet Haven Rescue today.
With your support, Pet Haven Rescue volunteers have been able to meet our goal of helping dogs and cats in Temecula, Murrieta and surrounding areas in Riverside County through foster, medical care, rehabilitation and adoptions!
On behalf of the volunteers at Pet Haven Rescue, thank you for your support!
Additional adoption info
*Local Residency - with identification showing your PHYSICAL and present address.
*Fenced-in Yards for Dog Adoptions - Anyone adopting a dog must have an adequately fenced in yard. Short dog-short fence... tall dog-tall fence! There must be direct access from the residence into the yard or kennel (pen)
*Animals May Not Be Adopted As Gifts - The animal MUST be chosen and adopted by the person/family who will be responsible for it. We do, however, have GIFT CERTIFICATES!
*We Discourage the Adoption of Kittens and Small-Boned Puppies under 12 Weeks of Age to Families with Children under 5 Years of Age - Infant animals are very fragile and can be injured, even through the best of intentions.
*Cats Will Not Be Adopted as "Mousers" or "Barn" Cats - We STRONGLY believe that a cat is only truly safe when kept indoors as a COMPANION animal.
*Dogs Will Not Be Adopted As "Guard" or "Attack" Dogs - We place dogs as companion animals ONLY.
*Pet Haven Rescue believes that dogs should be accepted in your home as an extension of the family. If you want to adopt a dog that will spend most of its time outside, we ask that you look for an animal that is at least 1 year old and can acclimate to weather changes. All dogs left outside for any period of time require direct access to shelter - dog house, dog door into garage, somewhere out of the hot summer heat, etc.
We reserve the right to refuse placement of our pets to any individual who does not meet our criteria. We also reserve the right to keep our reasons for refusal confidential within our organization. The welfare of our rescue animals is our top priority.
