Central Coast Humane Society is not a brick and mortar operation. We are all volunteers and work from our homes. Our local shelter is operated by the Sheriff's Office. CCHS helps the animals that are outside of the shelter system. We provide financial help for animal caregivers so they can keep their animals at home and not have to relinquish to a shelter. We also have a very robust community cat program and do a lot of TNR (trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate, and return) work. Animals are sentient beings and deserve our love and compassion.
