Last Chance Arkansas is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, 100% managed by volunteers. That means every dollar received goes to care of the dogs we save. Veterinary care is funded though adoption fees and the support of generous donors who support our work.
We rescue our animals from a variety of places, from the shelters to the side of the road to hoarders. We help as many as we can but we can't do it without adopters and fosters!
LCA is an active partner with the Arkansas Paws in Prison program (PIP), a partnership with the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Paws in Prison is committed to rehabilitating inmates and giving shelter dogs a second chance at life through a mutually beneficial, inmate instructed, canine training program. Inmates work with the dogs teaching them basic obedience skills and properly socializing the animals, making them more adoptable
