Story
**Jerry is in foster in Prosser, Washington** Are you ready to welcome a burst of energy and affection into your life? Look no further than Jerry, a 10-month-old Cattle Dog who's eagerly searching for his forever family. Jerry was transferred to us from Weatherford, Texas with his brother Tommy (Tom). Jerry’s ideal family is one that can provide him with consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and plenty of playtime. Jerry would thrive in a home with an active lifestyle, perhaps with a yard for him to burn off some of that puppy energy. He is looking for a family who understands his breed's intelligence and is committed to providing mental stimulation through engaging activities and positive training. Jerry is dog-friendly, and would love a home with some fur-siblings to play with. Jerry has not been exposed to children yet; however, we believe he would do well in a home with older children that can respect his space. Jerry has also not been exposed to cats, but would likely do well with a confident and dog-savvy cat. While Jerry is friendly and loving, he may need some time to adjust to new people and surroundings. Slow introductions are key to building his trust, and once he feels secure, Jerry is sure to become your loyal companion for life. He is very much a velcro dog once you are in his inner circle! Jerry is making strides with his training. He’s gaining confidence on leash walks and doing well with his potty training. He is still very much a puppy, so his new home should be ready to continue with his training needs. Jerry is treat-motivated and loves fetch, toys, kongs, and puzzle toys. Jerry is also doing well with crate training! He can be initially antsy in the crate, and may whine for a few minutes but then settles down and is quiet. Overall he does awesome in his car crate and would make a great co-pilot. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome Jerry into your home and create a lifetime of memories together! Jerry is neutered and has received age-appropriate core vaccines. He is being fostered in Prosser, WA. If you're interested in meeting Jerry please fill out an adoption application on our website: pnwcdr.org/adopt Please note: We do not do DNA testing on our foster dogs. The breed description is our best guess based on the dog's appearance, mother's appearance, paperwork, etc. Adoption Process: - Adoption Application - Phone Convo - Meet & Greet - Home Visit - Application Approval - Adoption Fee & Contract ($390) Our adoption application is at pnwcdr.org/adopt

Story
Brisco is a 30lb, 8 mo old Blue Heeler staying in Kirkland, WA. He's super sweet, social, snuggly, and a quick learner. PNWCDR originally got him and his sister as tiny little things from a hoarding situation, and we thought he'd landed in a permanent place, however due to a change in his adoptive family's situation, he has been returned to us recently. He was originally named Luke as a young pup in case you recognize him. Brisco's ideal home would be one that is experienced with high-drive breeds, and is looking to include him in their activities. He likes whatever you do, as long as he can go. He's great at walking around parks/trails, and is not dog reactive in the situations he's been in with his foster. He's great at riding in the vehicle in a crate. At home, he wants to help you do laundry, trim trees, garden, run errands, or whatever sounds fun! If you have other playful dogs, that only sweetens the deal because he absolutely loves to play with anyone interested, especially if they will chase him. If you're browsing for ACDs, hopefully you know about the breed, and know that they can be very busy, Velcro dogs that are meant to be alongside you, and are waiting for your next instructions. Brisco fits into that category. He's a super cool dog and someone will be lucky to have him. Super smart, sweet, playful, and a totally devoted dog. He really wants to be your everything. Can you be his everything? Brisco is neutered, microchipped and has received age-appropriate core vaccines. He is being fostered in Kirkland WA and the adoption fee is $330. If you're interested in meeting Brisco, please fill out an adoption application on our website: pnwcdr.org/adopt Please note: We do not do DNA testing on our foster dogs. The breed description is our best guess based on the dog’s appearance, mother’s appearance, paperwork, etc. Adoption Process: - Adoption Application - Phone Convo - Meet & Greet - Home Visit - Application Approval - Adoption Fee & Contract Our adoption application is at pnwcdr.org/adopt Curious about fostering? Story
Sydney is a 3-year old, 26 lb cattle dog mix (ACD-chihuahua maybe). She was found as a stray in Olympia and the original finder decided they were not equipped to deal with her specific needs. Sydney has a long way to go in her behavioral training and will need someone passionate about keeping her in an ongoing program. This means she'll need continued cautious socialization with adult humans as well as daily - intense - physical and mental exercise. She has adapted well to the consistent routine at his foster home in the PNW. Sydney is still adjusting a lot to the outside world. Sydney is looking for a caring and patient handler who can help her build her confidence in a healthy manner. She is a low confidence pup who is fearful when meeting new people. She is very food motivated and will approach briefly for treats. If folks reach for her or go too fast around her, she is apprehensive and may nip. But it doesn't take her too much time to trust people who are respectful of her trust issues, Sydney knows many commands from sit and shake to "gentle" and the names of her specific toys. She is extremely gifted and while she has the setbacks of an undersocialized heeler, she has the potential to be an all-star athlete in any number of sports. When meeting new dogs out in the world, Sydney is usually friendly and confident. She is a rough player but would do well emotionally if she could live with another like-minded young dog. Her playstyle can be too much or some canines although if there are multiple dogs in the home she tends to buddy up with one dog and be very respectful of the adjacent sibling. Sydney has fairly decent social skills and is able to read and present cues well. She's currently being fostered with 2 adult cattle dogs and a cat. She sometimes herds them the other dogs but is otherwise doing well. Our ideal home for Sydney would be a quiet place where visitors, and children especially, are infrequent. We would also like the home to have a considerate amount of heeler or reactive training experience. Sydney is potty-trained and waits politely when it's time for meals. she is a sweet sweet girl who loves cuddles on the couch with her people. Although she dislikes being crated she sleeps well with her people and is a night owl as well as an early bird. **DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS WE RECEIVE, INQUIRIES MADE BELOW THROUGH THE PETFINDER WEBSITE WILL NOT BE SEEN OR RESPONDED TO. Story
HI - I'M SUZY. I'm a small 14-year-old sweet blue-and-white Pit Bull Terrier, in need of a foster or forever home.I have been waiting far too long for someone to choose me, and given my age, I'm hoping my person or people come along soon. I'm a loving girl who would do well in a quiet home and neighborhood where I can be loved and showered with attention and affection. I make a great snuggler! I have tested well with some large dogs but not others, so would do best in a home as an only dog or with a submissive male. And I do well with kids over 5, too. I am not good with little dogs, however -- no clue about cats.. Per my current caretaker, I am in good health, though I do have some arthritis, so I take some inexpensive supplements. Can you foster or adopt me? I weigh only 44 lbs.

Story
MEET DARLA! Darla is a sweet and gentle 6-year-old purebred Doberman Pinscher, currently in a foster home in Seattle. (Purebred verified by DNA testing). She is elegant, pretty and very affectionate -- and she gets along great with other dogs. Darla was rescued from a crowded California shelter. She is a well-behaved and strong girl, who will pull when she sees squirrels on a walk! Darla is in good health though could gain a bit of weight. Darla is good with most dogs, and will be totally devoted to her person. She is a gem and whomever adopts her will be very lucky. She weighs about 69 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M VAIL! I'm a loving 4-1/2-year old Pit Bull Terrier girl in need of a foster or forever home. I love people and am quite the snuggler. I also love my crate, and would gladly sleep in it at night (though would probably prefer your bed.) I'm not destructive in the house and am overall a joy to have around. I'm also quite playful. At about 56 lbs., I'm a strong girl, and could use some leash training, though. I'm not the best around other dogs as I wasn't socialized well as a pup, so for now it's best I be the top dog in my home, where I can get all of the love and attention. I'd love a warm bed, a person or people to love me and a chance to go for a walk, hike or road trip! Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.
