Rescue FAQs

We are a group of dedicated rescuers helping dogs in the San Antonio TEXAS area. We rescue/rehabilitate/socialize and fully vet our dogs and find them wonderful homes to live the rest of their lives. We are currently transporting to the greater Des Moines area but will adopt to approved adopters who can travel to this location for pickup of their new family member.

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted.

So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
