On November 18, 2002, Sue Fitzgerald and Michelle McDonald founded Ethical Bull Breed Rescue and Referral. The primary focus of EBBRR is to help Bull Breed Rescuers network. We also hope to provide a centralized place for rescuers and fanciers to list or locate Bull Breeds needing homes throughout the United States and Canada, and to provide education on the care of our beloved Bullies.
We are comprised of volunteers from several specific breed rescue groups nationwide that have joined efforts to network and promote adoptions and rescues for all bull breeds.
Whether you are interested in adopting a dog, need a place to advertise your rescue site, researching breeds, or looking for forever homes for your rescue charges; this is the place for you! Take a look around and check back often as we add more breeds and rescues.
Our Mission:
To provide a place for all bull breed rescuers to network with fellow rescuers, fanciers, interested adopters and anyone interested in preserving the bull breeds.
To provide a centralized place for rescuers and fanciers to list and locate bull breed dogs in need.
To educate the public in regard to the nature, needs and natural tendencies of the assortment of bull breed dogs we list here.
To provide proper emotional and physical care to all dogs in EBBRR's care whenever possible.
To spay or neuter all rescued dogs in EBBRR's care unless precluded from doing so for health reasons. We expect the same from any rescue hosted on our site.
To place rescued dogs in appropriate homes after proper screening.
To euthanize those dogs that are unable to function properly within society due to health or mental reasons.
To actively raise funds to meet rescue needs.
