The Charitable Rabbit

Animal rescue in Pekin, IL

Our goal is to educate the public and fellow rabbit owners about the proper diet, socialization, and environment. These are important factors that are key to giving a rabbit a happy life of nearly ten years. Our dream is to diminish the number of surrendered, deserted, or neglected rabbits in our community. One way we work towards accomplishing this is by being a shelter relief rescue. As a shelter relief rescue, we transfer rabbits (and other small exotic companion mammals) out of overcrowded shelters within our area, and place them into foster homes until a new, permeant family may be found. We also strive to assist in the overall care of unwanted rabbits and contribute to their veterinary care, in hopes of placing happy, healthy bunnies with their hum-bun!
