Story
Well please meet Dizzy Lizzy. Lizzy is a pure bred Siberian Husky born on 1-26-2021 this little wild child is officially a misfit and available for adoption. Lizzy's owner went to a breeder in Pittstown to see if they would take her in and they turned her away. The owner went down the street to let Lizzy go potty and Lizzy did not come back. After confirming the owner and paperwork the owner told us he purchased her from a breeder as a 8 week old pup and decided a Sib was too much for him and surrendered her to us. Fortunately for Lizzy she ended up in the right hands. Lizzy's 6 month birthday is right around the corner. Lizzy is your typical Siberian Husky Puppy full of life adventure and lots and lots zommies of fun. This wildchild is enjoying her time learning her manners. She loves tug a war, and splashing around in the pool. A waterbug she is...She gets along with other dogs her size but is learning appropriate play. She is well behaved with children but children that are familiar with puppy rough play. Lizzy can be mouthy with her leash so she is learning not to bite and tug her leash but all in all this girl is just a love and wants lots of love. Adopter should have Sib or Northern Breed Experience, owe their home and have a fenced in yard or a active adventurer. Lizzy is up to date on her vaccines, microchipped and will be spayed before adoption is finalized. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this baby girl please complete our adoption application at www.njmisfitsk9rescue.com Our foster areas are Somerset, Hunterdon County as well as Bucks County, Pa.

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs to their new home leaving beginning to mid of December 2025 to the east coast from where we are located here in Southern California. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Rico to our trip for the right home! As always for our adopters peace of mind we never ask for anything up front! His adoption fee, along with his adopting families share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person with Rico ultimately finalizing his adoption. Meet Rico 💙 If ever there were a dog whose eyes could speak straight to your heart, it would be Rico. This purebred Shih Tzu is 2 years old and weighs right under 14 pounds. He is full grown, perfectly proportioned, and has one of the sweetest, most expressive faces you’ll ever see. His big, soft brown eyes seem to sparkle with gratitude whenever someone shows him love — and it’s impossible not to feel something special when he looks your way. Rico’s previous family loved him deeply, but their work schedules kept them away from home more than they ever intended. They noticed how much he longed for connection, how his tail wagged at the sound of the door opening, how he just wanted time — real, devoted time — with his people. When they realized they couldn’t give him that consistently, they made the compassionate choice to reach out to us so he could find the life they knew he truly deserved. Since joining us, Rico has proven to be a bright light of joy. He’s crate trained, house trained, and sleeps through the night in his crate. He’s also leash trained and loves his walks, trotting proudly with his tail held high, as if he knows each step is a new adventure. He’s not a barker but does communicate sweetly when he needs something, always polite, never demanding. Rico is one of those dogs who simply goes with the flow — adaptable, cheerful, and content as long as he’s part of your world. He’s the perfect blend of playful energy and calm companionship. He can romp around the yard one minute and curl up quietly beside you the next. His personality makes him a wonderful fit for nearly any household, whether it’s a single person looking for a loyal companion or a family with gentle children and other pets. When you look into his eyes, you can see how much he wants to be loved — not just occasionally, but deeply and daily. He loves being near his people, enjoys gentle affection, and thrives on routine and reassurance. He doesn’t ask for much: a cozy home, a patient heart, and someone to share his days with. Rico is ready to make someone’s life brighter in every way. His gentle, forgiving heart and happy spirit are what make dogs like him unforgettable. If you’ve been waiting for that one dog who will make you laugh, comfort you when you’re down, and greet you with joy every single morning — Rico is your boy. Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_rico It covers his neuter, full veterinary exam, microchip/registration, dental cleaning and polish, antibiotic injection given to aid in the healing of both his neuter and dental cleaning, his current vaccines, ear exam which included needing the hair plucked from his ears, and pain meds to go home. It also covers the months of care, grooming costs, and training he has recieved since with us here ❤️

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs to their new home leaving beginning to mid of December 2025 to the east coast from where we are located here in Southern California. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Suzie to our trip for the right home! As always for our adopters peace of mind we never ask for anything up front! Her adoption fee, along with her adopting families share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person with Suzie ultimately finalizing her adoption. If you’re searching for a little ray of sunshine wrapped in a silky coat and an even softer heart, Suzie may just be the one meant for you. She’s a purebred silky hair Yorkshire Terrier, turning two years old on December 15th, and weighing just over ten pounds of pure love. She’s full grown, perfectly healthy, and carries herself with that gentle confidence of a dog who’s learned how to love deeply and trust completely. From her shiny, flowing coat to her kind eyes that seem to understand every word you say, Suzie is one of those souls who instantly makes the world around her feel softer. Suzie’s story is one that touches the heart. Her original owner sadly passed away, leaving her without any immediate family or close friends who could take her in. It was a compassionate neighbor who reached out to us, determined that Suzie would find the life she still so fully deserves. From the moment she arrived, she was quiet and observant, unsure of what her new world would look likebut within days, her personality began to shine. She quickly learned that she was safe, cared for, and surrounded by love again. Watching her blossom has been a gift all its own. Suzie is the definition of balance—playful when you invite her to be, calm and relaxed when you’re ready to unwind. She’s not a barker, but she will occasionally give a polite little alert when she hears something unfamiliar, just enough to let you know she’s aware. Most of the time, though, she simply wants to be near her person. She’ll curl beside you on the couch, follow you through the house, or rest contently at your feet while you work. She thrives on closeness and is happiest when she knows she’s part of someone’s day. When she’s not cuddling, you’ll often catch her initiating a game of tug-of-war with another dog, or prancing proudly around the house with one of her favorite toys. She loves toys she can share, especially if it means another furry friend joins in. She’s wonderful with other dogs—gentle, social, and always kind in her interactions. She has an easy-going spirit that makes her a joy in a multi-dog home. Suzie is also wonderful at the groomers, where she sits patiently and soaks in her “spa days.” She loves car rides, hopping in with excitement and watching the world go by, especially when she knows the ride means she gets to go somewhere fun or come along on errands. She’s still learning the joy of walks and the adventures they bring, and with each outing she grows more confident, tail up and wagging, ready to explore a little further. She is house trained, going outside every 3–4 hours when asked, and crate trained, sleeping peacefully all night without a peep. She wakes up happy and ready to start her day. Suzie would transition beautifully into a home where she can either sleep in a cozy bed of her own or cuddle right up beside her human if that’s what they prefer. She doesn’t have any bad habits—no chewing, no separation anxiety—just a naturally calm, affectionate nature that makes her a true delight to live with. One of the sweetest things about Suzie is how she carries herself with quiet grace. She doesn’t demand attention or force herself into your space—she just gives love freely and waits patiently for it in return. She’s the kind of dog that reminds you what unconditional love feels like, the kind that looks up at you with complete trust, no matter what life has thrown her way. She has an incredible ability to sense moods, often sitting close when she feels you need comfort. She’s not just a pet—she’s a companion, a little heartbeat at your feet who will make every day brighter. Suzie would do beautifully in a calm home with someone who has the time to give her attention, consistency, and love. Whether that’s a single person looking for their best friend, a retired couple ready to dote on her, or a family that values connection and companionship, she’ll adapt easily to the rhythm of her new life. She’s already proven she’s resilient and open-hearted, and now she’s ready to give that love back tenfold. If you’ve been waiting for a little soul who embodies sweetness, serenity, and gratitude, Suzie is truly all that and more. She’s the kind of companion who will melt your heart from the moment you meet her and remind you how beautiful it is to be loved by a dog who’s ready for her second chance. 💜 Adoption Fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/suzie It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, her dental cleaning and polish, the antibiotic injection given to aid in the healing of her spay, and dental, along with her exam with our vet (which went perfect) It also helps cover the months of care, training, and grooming she’s received while with us
