Rescue FAQs

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that. Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do. Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
We are based in Mead, Washington but allow out of state adoptions and happily serve the Northwestern United States.

Additional adoption info

To apply to adopt one of our available animals or for any other inquiries, email information@murcismission.org or message us here!

Once your application has been received, we will evaluate it as a potential match for the given animal and, if your application is selected, we will proceed to call your references and then conclude with a home check and meet and greet scheduled by you at your home. For applicants out of area, the home check may be conducted via video call before the meet and greet.

Thank you so much for your support and love of animals!
