Story
Sonic is such a sweet and loving dog. He love to play fetch. He loves playing with the kids. He is very high energy and we really do not have time to exercise him they way he needs. We are in a smaller place and he needs more room to run around and play. He loves playing with other dogs. Very easy to get along with. I am not sure how he would do with cats. We do not have cats but we have bunnies and he does not bother them although we don't let them play together. We are looking for a loving home for Sonic. He loves hiking and camping.

Story
This is Sandy. She is seriously the best dog in the world. I’ve had her since she was a puppy and we’ve been on every adventure together. Just being at home, camping and hiking! She is a lab/german shorthair pointer so full of energy. She is also a very quick learner and is food and toy driven. Sandy can also play fetch all day (like aaaalllll day, she will never stop), and is very good at it. Brings it straight back to you and drops it in your lap if you’re sitting down. Also swims very well Some family circumstances have risen and I’ve tried my hardest to keep her for a couple more months but i genuinely need to find her a great, loving, attentive and active home. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you so much!

Adopting a Otterhound

Frequently asked questions about acquiring an Otterhound - the pros and cons of adopting versus going through a breeder, and associated costs.

You can adopt an Otterhound at a much lower cost than buying one from a breeder. The cost of adopting an Otterhound ranges between $200 and $500, which covers the expenses of caring for the dog before adoption and often includes spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and other medical care. In contrast, buying an Otterhound from a breeder can be prohibitively expensive. Generally, you can expect to pay between $1,500 and $3,000 for a well-bred Otterhound puppy.

The easiest way to adopt an Otterhound is through a rescue that specializes in Otterhounds. A great place to start is by creating a breed search on Adopt a Pet. The search will show you all the available Otterhounds in your area.

Otterhound fun facts

Fun Facts:

For years, it was the Otterhound's job to follow otters underwater and into their dens.

No surprise here. Otterhounds love the water, and are happiest in a home where their webbed paws can have easy access to swimming.

More rare than the Giant Panda, the Otterhound is considered one of the most endangered dog breeds in the world!
