Story
adoption donation : $750 weight 84 lbs Age 2 years Sweet Lovey was found wandering alone at a truckstop in a rural part of northern Mississippi, likely dumped by his owners. When the Wags director tried to coax him to come to her, she didn’t have to worry, Lovey immediately tried to climb into her truck, his whole body wiggling with excitement. Despite his sad beginning Lovey is the happiest dog, he is just having a blast playing with the other dogs at Wags and is a mushy, affectionate, loving boy, thus his name, Lovey! Lovey likes toys and balls and would love to curl up and nap at your feet. He is house trained at Wags but like any rescue may need a refresher course while he adjusts to a new home. Lovey is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines and is heartworm negative. He is timid at first, but he warms up quickly, he walks well on a leash indoors, but for some reason outdoors, he is more hesitant to walk on a leash. Ideally, he would love a home with a fenced yard or an adopter who would work with him on leash training. Lovey is a sweet loving boy who will make a wonderful family dog. Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use.
