I really don’t have much interest in cats, so a home with cats would be just fine.  I am crate trained, but don’t need to be in a crate when you are gone. I am house trained, but I do wear a wrap inside since I am a senior gentleman. I do well on a leash too (I do pull some with excitement, but my harness helps Immensely). I love to wander around the backyard, travel with my human, take naps with my human or just nap by myself on a comfy bed or sofa. My foster mom says I am soulful and loving and I just want to be your best friend. I would love to be with you as much as possible. I also love a good bone, all the treats and a stuffed Kong. I am also on renal support prescription dogfood that will need to continue in my new home and I have a heart murmur that will need monitored yearly (and is common for my breed), but neither of these slow me down. I can’t wait to find my own forever family who will show me all the love and attention I deserve.  If you are interested in meeting Basil apply at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $225 Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. I have not been around cats or kids to know how I would do around them yet. When I am out of my crate I will go to the door and let you know I need to go out. I am still working on my crate training as I don’t like to be separated from my humans.  My favorite snacks are hot dogs! I love those things. I also know the command “sit” and will come to you when you call for me. I enjoy the Bark Box fuzzy toys. I like to run in the backyard and play with my fur sibling and oh boy do I love to cuddle. I really love being around my humans and am a very loving dog when I am the one getting all of the attention. I cannot wait to find my very own active family who will give me all the love and attention I deserve and who will be patient with me as I continue to learn. Brudder is a big, lovable boy! He is equal parts lap dog and playful. He is great around people and other dogs, because he has a gentle yet playful soul. I found Brudder walking the city streets and he immediately ran to me upon me calling out. After checking his microchip and doing some digging on social media, I found that he has been lost 5-6 times in the past couple of years and that his owner recently moved and left him behind. Sadly, she abandoned him and is not coming back for this gentle giant. Brudder needs a loving family to call his own forever.
