Currently he is on Hill’s UD. This can only be purchased through a veterinarian. Care with a primary vet should be established shortly after adopting to continue on the prescription food. The cost is about $132 for a 27.5 pound bag on Chewy. The food that he is on needs to be low in sodium and protein that produce neutral to alkaline urine. 9/27/24 Mr Waddle had a Prescrotal Urethrostomy performed. A prescrotal urethrostomy in dogs is a surgical procedure that involves creating a permanent opening for the urethra through the prescrotal region of a male canine. The urethra is part of the urinary system, described as a tube which carries urine from the bladder organ. This was done to correct a urine flow obstruction. A complication to the urinary system is a life-threatening condition that, if left untreated, can lead to loss of bladder muscle tone and infections of the urinary tract. Mr Waddle is a big ham Foster Home Feedback 10/29/24 Foster Feedback: Mr. Waddle loves to cuddle, so if you are a couch lounger he’s your guy! He will curl up and spoon you for hours on end. If “no dogs on the couch” is your house rule, Mr. Waddle may not be the dog for you. I believe he is one with the couch, also your bed. Mr. Waddle is fostered with dogs of all sizes and is dog social. He prefers the company of smaller dogs and wrestling with pugs and a 4lb yorkie daily. He will become friends with social dogs with proper intros. He does not appreciate dominant dogs. This handsome lug is not super food motivated. He thrives on love. Mr. Waddle could care less about dog food and believes he should be allowed to eat at the dinner table. He does love his treats though! He loves toys and playing with his human. However, Mr. Waddle doesn’t appreciate sharing toys or high value items he wants with other dogs. Mr. Waddle also loves to play and regularly has zoomies around the yard. A fenced yard is ideal for him; but he would also do well with leashed walks. He doesn’t appreciate a tie-out or being away from his people ever. Mr. Waddle will sing a lovely yodel to let you know when he is displeased. He enjoys spending time outside in the sun and smelling all the things at his current foster farm. Mr. Waddle is cat friendly and doesn’t seem to care much about them but will occasionally try to play with them. Mr. Waddle probably wouldn’t be the best in an apartment. He becomes quiet in the crate but sings a nice long song of disapproval when he first goes in or anytime that he sees or hears people. Mr. Waddle is also a brilliant man who knows how to open doors with a lever handle. He is so smart! He would greatly benefit from some training classes if you could get him off the couch. Mr. Waddle also appreciates the company of women and children. He loves all people outside of the home (he does great at the vet) but on his property, he can be skeptical when he meets new people, especially men. Once Waddle knows you, you are his friend for life and he cannot stand to be away from you. He has the cutest butt wiggle I have ever seen. It’s so fast and he has the most precious little nub! Mr. Waddle has a great desire to always be with his people. So, if you are looking for a go everywhere and do everything with you type of dog, he’s your man.
