Meet our goofy guy named Sur! Sur is about 1.5 years old and he is a very sweet and silly boy! We don't know a lot about Sur's history before coming to our shelter, but we know he was passed around to a few different homes and he wasn't treated very nicely in some of them. We believe he is an Olde English Bulldogge mix. Sur has been nothing but outgoing and friendly with all of our staff since he came in to our care. He absolutely loves getting attention and butt scratches! Sur is a happy guy who already knows how to sit and lay down. He likes to lope after tennis balls in our backyard and bring them back to play. He can be a little jumpy at first, but he is not a super high energy boy. Sur would love to find a forever family who can show him what it's like to be in a real loving home! Sur can get a bit overstimulated by other dogs at times, especially while on leash. He has been tested with one of our more passive dogs and he did react positively during this interaction. We think we some training and slow socialization, he can interact with other dogs well. For now, we would like a home where Sur can be the only dog until he has received this training. Sur can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. Pocket sized bulldog mix with great Corgi type ears! Very friendly girl who listens well. She is good in her crate. Loves to go for long walks and car rides! Ginny is not high energy. She would do well with an older person/persons who has a fenced yard where Ginny could get out of the house to take care of "business"
