Story
Meet Sally! Sally is a 3-year-old, 20-lb Mini Sheepadoodle who is slowly but surely adjusting to her new life after a tough start. She's still working on overcoming her fear of people and other dogs, but she's already making progress.
Sally is a gentle soul who loves quiet moments and cuddles. She's starting to warm up to her foster family and enjoys falling asleep in their laps while watching TV. She's still learning basic skills like leash walking and house training, but with patience and positive reinforcement, she'll get there.
Sally is looking for a patient and loving home where she can continue to blossom and grow. She would do best in a quiet home with adults or older children. She may also do well with another gentle dog who can help her feel more secure.
If you're looking for a sweet and gentle companion who will reward your patience with unconditional love, Sally may be the perfect match for you.
Sally is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY. Her adoption fee is $600.
Sally is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
