Story
Meet George! George is 3-4 years old and came to rescue because he needed to move out of his previous home. Because he is a herding dog, he just couldn't understand why the little girls were not listening to his dog cues and what to do. It made him anxious and nervous. That being said, he should not live in a home with little children. So here is what is great about George: everything else. He loves to be loved! He has been extensively trained professionally. He does not leave the yard (his foster lives on a county road) and they have full confidence that he will recall when called and not go too far. His foster mom talks to him in a normal tone and he does everything she asks. He walks great on a leash and does not need to be crated as he will not destroy anything in the house. He is good with cats and loves dogs. He will try and herd dogs, mostly by just following them around. George's forever family should make sure they are familiar with sheep dog grooming needs. He will need professional grooming.  Side note, George loves to swim! He will jump off the back of smaller boats and jump into swimming pools - it is so darn cute! Oh, and no accidents in the house! Not even one! He is just the sweetest boy looking for his forever family!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Pepper is a sweet girl who is good with other dogs of all sizes! She has lived with several young children and was wonderful with them! She is currently looking for a foster to foster to adopt home that is a slower pace where she can hang out with the ones she loves and enjoy their company. She does have some pain in her spine which is currently being managed with medication, we may need to dig into this more once she joins us. She is an absolute sweetheart! Story
Max is a big goofball of a German Shepherd that loves playing fetch. Big ol’ tennis balls are his absolute favorite toy and he will run back and forth with them longer than you will want to throw them. When playing, he operates at high energy but is also good at chilling at home and relaxing. In fact, Max is a huge cuddle monster that melts to the floor when you pet him and thrives on physical contact, praise, and interactions with his people. I would call him medium low energy overall with occasional spurts of high energy play.  Right now, we are working with Max to reinforce solid basic obedience commands such as sit, lay down, shake, leave it, get it, down and stay. Max is a smart boy that is quick to learn and enjoys training. He would love a home where he can continue to learn and bond strongly with his people through fun mental activities. Clocking it at 110lbs he is a big boy but is very gentle for his size. He is friendly with other dogs and loves to play so another big dog in the household already would work well, but isn’t necessary so long as he has people that enjoy playing with him and giving him lots of love.  ##2013925##
