Story
Travis is a charming German Shorthaired Pointer who longs to be your one-and-only companion, thriving as the only animal in the home. His loyalty is unwavering, and he loves to be close to his person, sharing in every adventure from morning walks to cozy evenings. With a naturally gentle disposition, Travis is friendly with new people and responds well to training, showing off his intelligence and willingness to learn with each session. His enthusiasm for bonding makes him a joy to work with, and he’s eager to show his dedication and affection every day.
Though Travis is loving and warm, he has a sensitive side and can be startled by sudden noises and quick movements. More importantly, Travis is so bonded with his humans that he may feel sadness when left alone for long periods. A calm and steady environment helps him feel secure, and he does best with a family who can be with him throughout the day or help ease his worry with gentle reassurance. For someone seeking a loyal friend who’s happiest by their side, Travis is a perfect match. He’s ready to be your shadow, your steadfast companion, and your biggest fan—all he needs is a loving home where he can be your number one.
Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.
Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
