Meet Poppy!-2 year old female Pointer mix (Pointer is just a guess!)-Came into the Shelter as a stray so we do not have any history of her life before the Shelter -Has joined playgroup with other dogs and, after a slow introduction, loves to play chase and do some light wrestling. -Enjoys chew toys; and will chew when left alone-Went to a foster home with children aged 10-12, played well- Still working on housetraining but learning quickly, walk well on leash. -No history with cats or small animalsPoppy spent a little over a week in a foster home. Her foster reports: `Poppy is very friendly. She is active and likes to play and run in the backyard. She walks great on leash and seems interested in playing with dogs. She is very expressive and likes to chew on toys. She likes to play with kids.` Through December 31, this pet has a reduced adoption fee of just $50!Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
