Story
Meet Stevie Wonder! 🎶💙 We think he is a one-year-old Italian Greyhound–Miniature Pinscher mix, but we aren't really sure, so we just call him our Texas Special! This gorgous 12 pound boy is striking with his merle coat and mesmerizing ice-blue eyes. Stevie turns heads everywhere he goes — but it’s his heart that truly shines. Stevie Wonder is deaf but is does not slow him down. He is an absolute sweetheart who loves nothing more than affection and connection. He melts when you rub his face and will happily return the favor with gentle, enthusiastic kisses. His loving nature makes him the perfect little companion for anyone looking for a loyal snuggle buddy. Don’t let his delicate frame fool you — Stevie gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes! He’s social, playful, and polite, adapting easily to the vibe of any canine crew. Whether lounging in the sun, trotting by your side, or curling up for a nap, Stevie Wonder is happiest when he’s close to the people (and pups!) he loves. If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful boy to fill your home with love and light, Stevie Wonder is ready to serenade his way right into your heart. Email Jodi@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.   https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https:// www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue   Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Minister of Defense is a greyhound puppy. He's is a little skiddish. He loves to be held, however picking him up can scare him a bit. He loves it once he is being held. He loves playing and running around, however he gets a little nervous being far away from his brother or another human. He is very alert and fun to watch and snuggle. He sleeps in a crate. He’s starting to understand potty pads, He’s anxious, but so sweet. He’s good with other dogs -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Meet Miley! Sweet Miley is a 5 year old sweetheart, around 18 lbs. Such a beautiful girl with pretty lining around her eyes.  Miley is a very affectionate, loving dog. She loves to snuggle with you on the couch and go for walks (great on leash) and is happy to be in her crate at night. If you are looking for the best snuggler, Miley is your girl. She is a leaner and will drape herself in your lap. Miley is a very gentle and meek sweetheart. She can be a little timid with new people and new dogs but she only needs a moment to get over that. She was rescued from the streets of Mexico years ago and can still display a little hesitation at times in new situations. Miley is a sweet girl but is inconsistent with her potty training. She will mainly go outside but at times will have an accident inside.  Miley is good with other dogs, with proper introduction. She is best in a home without cats.  Miley is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **Meet Skye!** Skye is an incredible, Neutered, and up-to-date 1-year-old Italian Greyhound mix puppy who embodies athleticism and charm. With his sleek, muscular build and stunning glossy black coat, he’s not just a joy to look at; he has an equally fabulous personality that shines brightly. Since being rescued from the shelter, Skye has been bursting with excitement in his new, loving environment, running freely in the expansive dog yard and making the most of his newfound freedom. Skye is not just a pretty face; he is a sweet, loving, and mostly house-trained pup who thrives on companionship. He has a special fondness for female dogs, and while he may not be the best with male dogs at the moment, we believe that socializing will help him blossom into a more amenable companion. His love for people is undeniable, and while we haven’t tested him with children or cats yet, we’re confident he will do wonderfully with calm, dog-savvy kids. To ensure the perfect match for everyone, we always conduct meet-and-greet sessions before adoption. Are you ready to open your heart and home to Skye?
