Story
Meet Lilly – Your Gentle, Loyal Shadow 💕Lilly will be looking for a new foster home beginning in June 2026. We have absolutely loved fostering her, and this sweet girl has a very special place in our hearts. Unfortunately, we’ll be moving and can’t bring her with us — so we’re hoping to find her next safe, loving landing spot.Lilly is a shy girl at first, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines. She bonds deeply with her people and absolutely adores cuddles, belly rubs, and being close to you. One of her favorite things is curling up next to you after a nice walk or ride in the car (yes — she loves car rides!).She gains confidence from other dogs and truly blossoms in a home with canine companions. When she sees dogs she trusts being brave and happy, she quickly follows their lead. Because she spent much of her puppyhood in the shelter, having a confident dog friend helps her feel that the world is safe and fun. She has never shown any aggression toward dogs or people — she may bark occasionally when unsure, but it’s just her way of saying she needs a moment to feel comfortable.Lilly is mostly housebroken. She prefers going outside to potty but will use puppy pads overnight if needed. She is crate trained and does well when crated, though she may need a little time to adjust in a new environment. For her comfort and safety, she should be crated or contained when left alone, and she does best when not left alone for more than a couple of hours at a time. Her exercise needs are moderate — a fenced backyard or a couple of daily walks will keep her happy and healthy. She also loves treats and chew toys, which are great ways to bond with her. She loves playing fetch, so long as it isn't with a tennis ball.Lilly’s ideal foster is patient, kind, and willing to let her open up at her own pace. In return, you’ll get to watch a shy little heart grow into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. We would love to arrange at least one meet-and-greet with Lilly, our dogs, and her new foster before the transition to help her feel as comfortable as possible. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving dog who just needs a little reassurance to shine, Lilly may be your girl. 💗 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 37 Age: 1yrs 2mths 0wks
