Story
*** If you are interested in Finn, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ *** Meet Finn! Finn was picked up as a stray in Pampa, TX and brought into a very small, rural shelter with another dog. Finn has showed in his time at the shelter that he is so sweet, and great with people and other dogs. He now has arrived in Colorado to start fresh! Finn is 1 year old, and 14 lbs. He is believed to be an Italian Greyhound / Chihuahua mix, but looks and acts mostly like an Italian Greyhound. Finn is SO silly and stinkin' adorable! We would love to see Finn in a home that has the patience to help him blossom! With any rescue, moving from a shelter to a foster to an adoptive home can be very confusing. When an adopting family is sensitive to the challenges of change and acclimation for these dog's, the transition is far easier. A home with a very loving and nurturing family that understands that blossoming takes time would be perfect home for Finn. Socialization, pure love and belly rubs is a gift to a dog that is undergoing a life change. Given the time and space, these dogs shine. As any new rescue dog, Finn would benefit from attending a level 1 training class taught by one of our approved trainers. Farfel's Farm believes in only using positive reinforcement/force free training methods, because we have found that to be more effective. Dogs that do not get proper training and socialization have a much higher risk of developing behavioral problems, and there is a bonding that occurs through the training process that can't be duplicated. It will also teach behaviors that will enable him to go out into the world with excellent manners, and it will create a very respectful relationship between him and his owner. Finn is up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. **PLEASE NOTE**. If you're truly interested in adopting Alfie please be sure to submit the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Petfinder or Adoptapet don't provide enough information for us to determine a great match for this very deserving dog and therefore aren't useful. We're sorry, but in many circumstances, we're unable to get back to those those that don't submit a Farfel's adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue!

Are you looking for the one?  Meet local furry bachelor Vincent (Vinny).  Vinny likes long walks (but might not always act like the distinguished gentleman we know he is), hikes, and cuddles.  He's an amazing  listener.  Vinny will become a best friend to your entire 2 or 4 legged family members .  Don't let his 8lb size fool you, this guy is an athlete. He's happy to accompany you on new adventures and snuggle by your side every night.  Vinny would love to have another dog friend to play and wrestle with all day. If you are a couch potatoe, this is not the guy for you, he enjoys miles and miles of walky time and then rounds of playtime after walking, every day. Please reach out to Lola's Rescue if you believe  Vinny to be a fit for your family.    Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com Dogs that state ***RESCUE CENTER*** are available for meet and greets 7 days a week between 11am and 4pm at Lola's Rescue Center located at 22351 E.
