Once upon a time, in a crowded Alabama shelter, a brave mother named Mother Earth and her four little pups — Sunbeam, Neptune, Venus, and Moon Pie — waited for a miracle. One day, that miracle arrived when K-9 Lifesavers rescued them and carried them all to safety. Mother Earth is a lovely, scruffy beauty — about 2 to 3 years old and around 60 pounds (picture included). She’s done a wonderful job raising her four little ones and now they are ready to find their forever homes. Venus is a cheerful, affectionate pup who loves to meet new friends and gets along beautifully with other dogs. Still young and eager to learn, Venus is at the perfect age for training and socialization. She’s ready to grow into the devoted companion she’s meant to be — all she needs now is someone to love her forever. So if you’re wishing for a bit of butt wiggles and wet nose kisses in your life, look no further. Submit your application today, and give Baby Venus her happily-ever-after!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
