Think of him as a "slow burn" romance; he may be a bit shy at first, but once you’ve earned his trust, you have a giant-sized shadow for life. While some dogs are "love at first sight," Finnegan can be "love at fourth or fifth sight." He is looking for a patient, low-pressure family willing to visit him a few times at the shelter. These "get-to-know-you" dates are the bridge he needs to show him that the world is a friendly place. Once that bridge is built, his loyalty is unshakable. Why are those extra visits worth it? Because once Finnegan decides you’re "his" person, the dignified act disappears! Behind that shy exterior is a total goofball just waiting to come out. Once he’s comfortable, you can expect: Happy Zoomies: Seeing a giant wolfhound rediscover his inner puppy is a sight to behold (just make sure you have a clear path!).
