Story
Pixie is a 2-year old Airedale Terrier/Minatare Poodle mix weighing 33 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender. Pixie is an extremely high energy dog and would do best in a home where she does not need to be kenneled throughout the day. Her breed requires daily play sessions in addition to multiple walks per day. A home with a fenced in yard would be ideal for off leash play, loves to play fetch. Pixie recently finished obedience training, although it would seem her memory is short, and she has a strong stubborn streak! She is treat motivated, knows commands sit and shake. Pulls on a leash. No small children, she's a jumper. Crate trained.Her adoption fee is $250, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!
