Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 1/21/25 Reason for being in rescue: Breeder release, retiring from breeding  Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Lady Bug Autumn is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Lady Bug Autumn is not hypoallergenic and does shed.  Weight: 50 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Lady Bug Autumn requires a physically fenced yard with fencing four (4) feet tall or taller. What kind of home would be best for me?  Active and playful, Autumn is looking for an equally active family or individual. She’d love to join you on walks, jogs, hikes, or trips to the beach. And after a fun adventure, she’s definitely up for a pup cup on the way home! A typical day with Autumn will involve plenty of outdoor play and exercise—she’s no couch potato! Autumn would thrive in a home with an active single person, a couple, or a family who enjoys outdoor activities. She requires a home with another large dog. Autumn has never lived without canine companionship and needs another large, confident dog for play and learning. She has a demeanor well-suited for children over 5. Autumn does have a voice and is not afraid to use it - our girl likes to bark when she wants attention.  What is my personality like?  Meet Autumn, a beautiful red Irish Doodle looking for her forever home! Autumn is a sweet and loving girl who was released by a breeder, so many things are new to her. She can be a bit skittish and nervous at first, taking her time to process new situations. However, once she feels comfortable, you'll see her joyfully running around with a big smile on her face! Autumn has never lived in a home, and her adopter will need to be patient with her as she learns the ropes of living in a home and being a pet. She walks on a leash, but not well. Autumn will need taught her basic commands, but she is a smart and confident girl once she’s sure of her surroundings. With praise and treats she should learn anything your care to teach her. Autumn's new family will need to be patient as she learns the ropes of indoor living and being a pet. She walks on a leash, but she’s still working on it. She’ll need to learn basic commands, but don’t worry - Autumn is a smart and confident girl who just needs a little time and encouragement. With praise and treats, she’ll quickly pick up new skills and become the well-mannered pup you’ve been dreaming of. Autumn is a bundle of joy - curious, playful, and always up for an adventure! While she’s cautious at first, once she’s comfortable, she’s ready to have fun and enjoy life to the fullest. How do I act when I first meet new people?  When meeting new people, Autumn can be a little nervous and skittish, but she warms up quickly. Once she feels safe, she loves to be loved on and will happily return affection. Other tips and tidbits: Lady Bug Autumn's birthday is 5/15/2021.  House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. February 19, 2025, 2:55 pm

Story
Turbo is a big dog with a bigger personality. Turbo likes his life a certain way, which is mainly a ball to play with, a person to be with, and a nice bed to lay on. He is tolerant of other dogs, and can definitely go to a house with the right fur siblings, but he is more interested in living the calm life. His size really doesn’t match his temperament, as he is one of the calmest dogs at the shelter. It won’t take him long to catch on to your home routine, and once he has it down, your day to day life with Turbo should be very easy. He prefers calmer dogs around his size, and no small kids or animals. He is a dog that won’t change your lifestyle very much once you take him home!

Story
Hey! My name is Penny and I am looking for my forever home. My friends at the shelter describe me as calm and loving. After a short walk I am content to hop up on my bench and take a nice, long nap. I take treats gently and am very easy to leash up. For some reason I do not like cats and would need to go to a home without cats. Some dogs are ok with me but others I don`t like as much. It is hard to say if I will like my protentional dog sibling or not, but don`t worry, you can bring them by the shelter and I can decide for myself when I meet them. A more calm dog with a soft approach seems to be more up my alley. I have a lot of love to give and just want the right family to give it to!

Story
Hello! I’m Saint, a Retriever mixed breed dog. I have been described as friendly, loving, protective, adventurous, and doting. Some of my favorite things to do are bury treats and mark my territory on walks. I’m not a huge fan of toys or treats, but I love playing with people! I know the commands sit and leave it. I would like to learn more commands too! My ideal home would have dogs that are on the more gentle and dainty side because I`m just learning how to play. I`m a little shy when it comes to meeting news dogs, but I warm up quickly. I would love to go on a couple walks or runs a day too! I look forward to meeting you soon!
