Story
Kira is a Labrador mix, approximately 3 years old. She was rescued at around 1 year of age from a severe neglect and abuse situation in Oklahoma. Due to her past, she has developed fear-based behaviors, particularly toward men with strong or dominant personalities, and may react defensively if she feels threatened. In recent months, Kira has not done well with unfamiliar dogs. She has shown aggression in situations involving toys, food, or when other dogs approach her closely. Because of this, we are seeking placement in a home with experienced handlers who understand how to manage and work with dogs with behavioral challenges.
