Garnet is a lap loving husky/Staffy mix that enjoys attention but can quickly become over stimulated. She is described as joyful and loving. She has become reactive to small dogs, so pairing her with small animals or female dogs may not be the best fit. She is tender hearted and looking for the right family that will start her on positive based obedience training and continue through adulthood. She needs patience and understanding as she learns to be a house dog with high energy.Lead dog walker says: Garnet - she was great. She definitely needs time getting used to the leash. If she ran to the end and it stopped her, she'd zoom under foot and get all tangled in my legs??. But we spent a little time going really slowly and using the leash just to give soft feedback. She was starting to be a bit less frightened of the weight. In the play yard she was getting barked at by the dogs in North Wing but she did not get distracted nor bark back. She was cuddly and connected. She likes being pet. Likes to run for a ball, but no way is she fetching yet! She is treat motivated, I used treats just to instill come and be more than sit at this point. She is really adorable and sweet and can be nice calm cuddler.
