Story
Galley, our sweet young former mama cat, has been peacefully telling herself the story of the world as it passes by out her foster's front window. In publishing terms, a galley is an unpublished typeset version of a book that is about to go to print--Miss Galley is ready for her story to be published by her forever family!
She's such a sweet cat--she will make friends with you, your resident cats, and probably anyone else nearby (we're not sure about dogs because we haven't seen her with one, but given her temperament, her foster thinks she'd be good there too). Every now and then, a flock of sparrows lands outside this window, which delights Miss Galley. She also loves to romp with the kittens, chase and getting chased by her foster's resident cat when they get the zoomies, and in general is just about the perfect cat.
If she sounds like the purrfect one for you, please see our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website: https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions
Please pay particular attention to steps 1 & 2. We include on our website details on how to prepare for a home visit, how to get ready for a new kitten, some useful guidance for introductions and reminders about taking time everyone needs.
please also check out our public facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SophiaLOrangeKittenRescue/
Not only will it show you more pictures of our kitties, but also should give you a good idea about who we are as an organization, as fosters, and how our followers and adopters feel about us. We do take time to get through the adoption process, but want you to feel comfortable that this means we are trying to do what's best for everyone.
All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
