Story
Banjo was picked up as a stray after being on the run for months. He was severely emaciated and came in weighing only 99 pounds but has been steadily gaining weight as he recovers. Understandably, he’s still in a bit of survival mode and is somewhat reactive toward strangers (especially men) and other dogs. But he’s an absolute lovebug to the staff who have been nursing him back to health! He knows how to show his gratitude and loves getting pets and treats and getting reassured that he is a good boy. Banjo has been warming up and some of our experienced volunteers have been able to take him on some pleasant walks in the snow lately. We think with time he`ll become an absolute gentle giant for his furever family.At this time Banjo will require an owner experienced with owning big dogs who can provide the structure and training he needs to work on his reactivity to
