Meet Peanut Butter! We call him Nutty for short, and boy, does he live up to it! He’s a furry little 25lb. bulldozer of cuteness who gets the zoomies just because he loves his humans so much that he can’t contain it. He’s about 5 years old, confident, silly, curious, full of energy, and a shameless cuddle bug. He would love nothing more than to be in your personal space 24 hours a day, unless he can jump the fence and go exploring, because that’s his second-favorite thing in the whole world. He is cat-friendly, but must be reminded to be gentle with them. He has not been very dog-friendly so far. He needs a forever home with a large fenced yard and some firm training. Once you belong to him, he’ll show you the kind of devotion you never knew you’d been living without!Interested in adoption? Our adoptions require an approved application, which can be found on our website. Already approved applicants can email us at woof@austincockerrescue.org to express their interest. Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio adopts to applicants within the state of Texas. Prospective adopters must meet the dog(s) in person for which they are interested, in order to determine compatibility. We do not ship animals or provide transport.

Meet adorable & adoptable: Birdie. You know, some people LOVE the hustle and bustle and Joy to the World of the holidays and some of us are more like Birdie--we need more of a Silent Night. Birdie is a pretty 3 year old who would do best in a calm home with active adults. She herself is a playful girl and loves her toys! And she would make use of a backyard of her own to zoom around and get her energy out. She gets along fine with other playful dogs that are her size but don't tell the reindeer: she's not a fan of big dogs. Birdie needs someone who understands that she needs time to get to know new people. She's not one of those girls you can just take out to the patio at a restaurant or bar--that would be her social nightmare--all those hands reaching to pet her--NO THANKS. But when she's at home with her person, she's a snuggler and happy to sleep right next to you like a warm little breathing blanket. Those puppy dog eyes don't lie, she's a sweetie. Birdie says to also tell you that she is housetrained and will teach you her schedule, so there is NO need to put her in that stinking crate and if you do she will sing the song of her people loudly and for a long time. ( homes with shared walls may not be the best fit). We think Birdie's perfect match is out there: someone who is also an introverted homebody that likes to cuddle. Hey, it's me, Snooper! Are you my human? I REALLY love riding in the car and my people. I promise to patrol your yard and keep all the critters at bay. I can be your partner for playing fetch and for a good walk. When it's time for cuddles, I'll paw your hand to make sure I get a pet or two in while I snooze next to you on the couch. These are some of my best photos, before I had to have one of my eyes removed, now I'm a winker! I've been in foster care for over 2 years and would love to find my furever to spend my remaining years with.Interested in adoption?
