You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sydney is a very loving dog who is looking for a new home since she needs more training, activity and attention than her current family can provide.  She is also living with another dog and should be the only pet.   She will thrive in a home with someone or a family who can spend time getting her outside and exercising; a home where she is the only pet and without children. She loves to play with a ball and would love to run around a yard everyday. Sydney has had some training and responds to SIT, STAY, NIGHT NIGHT (aka go into the crate). But she needs training on her walks since she lunges and barks at other dogs. Given her breed, she is very protective of children and the elderly. Sydney is a very sweet and affectionate dog who will be a devoted companion to a person or people who have the time to give her training, exercise and love.  PLEASE NOTE : THE DOG LISTED IS SHOWN AS A COURTESY TO ANOTHER ORGANIZATION OR FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WHO NEEDS TO FIND A NEW HOME FOR THEIR DOG. Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Fairfax, VA Gus is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 40 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Gus is nervous around strangers! No children or dogs, due to his reactivity! He hasn’t been tested around cats. Several years ago, Gus escaped from the yard while someone else was watching him. A stranger found him and went to grab his collar, which caused Gus to bite the stranger. Gus is currently on gabapentin, clonidine, and Sertaline for his reactivity. His owner says that when he isn’t triggered, he is loving, loyal, smart, playful, and energetic! The owner is surrendering him because he doesn’t do well with their young children. If you think you can provide a great home for Gus, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions.
