This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 7.5 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Story
Kayli came to her foster mom sick and at a very unhealthy weight. After a lengthy nutrition and weight loss program this adorable girl is ready to find her forever home! She was at a point where she could barely walk and now she loves a nice race around the backyard or to fetch her toys for you. She is a supreme cuddle bug and can't get close enough to her people. Tummy rubs might be her favorite thing and if you pet her she will adorably fling herself to the ground to better accommodate you. She loves walks but is also content to just stay home with you, too. She does have a problem with excited barking but she calms down after a short time. She just loves every single person she meets and can't control her excitement at first. She also loves children and children love her but because of her initial excited barking she can sometimes scare them so an initial leash greeting would be best with small children. She loves other dogs but if they get in her face too much she can sometimes be a little snippy. She has done well in her foster home with another older dog and, for a short stint, she had a blast with a big, goofy young boy that was recently adopted. Kayli has a 'cherry eye' (where the tear duct has popped out under the eyelid) that her owner chose not to fix as it doesn't bother her at all, but because of that it has been too long to do anything about it. It doesn't bother her and requires no attention. Would like to meet this cute girl?Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Meet Zara! A fun and active, 30# petite 8 year old Border Collie that is revved and ready to go! This girl is lean, strong, athletic, and super intelligent. She is a fiercely loyal girl who loves to snuggle, and would love to find a home that will take her along for adventures and outings. Zara is excellent with other easy going dogs, is house trained, crate trained, great on leash, and amazing on recall. She would make a great walking partner, hiking or running buddy, and loves to get out and run and chase. Zara LOVES every single person she meets, enjoys kids of all ages, and even gets along great with cats! Zara would be happiest in a home that would provide her a balance of exercise, structure, affection, and boundaries. She is a very loyal girl and her generall personality is outgoing, happy, and loving. She can be a teeny bit timid at times, and with continued support, and gentle and consistent handling, she will continue to build confidence. Zara loves to get affection and is consistently available on just a moment's notice. Zara is wonderful about resting quietly on her bed or the couch while her foster mom works from home- alerting only to shady UPS delivery people and the occasional dog and walker going past her front window. She sometimes carries on while her foster family is away, so a home without shared walls would be best. Zara enjoys the safe retreat of her crate and will be happiest if she has one in her adoptive home. Zara is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and health checked. Her adoption fee is $200.
